Bringing the Outside In

I am rather taken with the unusual and exquisite carpets created  by Argentinian  Alexandra Kehayoglou .  These  replicate the landscapes from her native country. If you couldn't see the edges you'd be forgiven for thinking that this verdant scene is the real thing, a cool haven of peace and tranquility in a garden somewhere.  It's actually crafted out of wool.  Sadly this artist works on a commission basis and her designs are likely to be available in a Carpetright store near you anytime soon!

  1. There used to be a shop in Brighton where you could take any design or photo, and they have it made into a carpet. I was often tempted, but the cost was high.

  2. How lovely. I'm not surprised that it was expensive. A carpet takes a lot of work. x

  4. I would love one of those carpets AND the swing! I once visited the home of the artist Jann Howarth. She had fitted a swing to the beam of her room and there was plenty of space to swing back and forth. It was glorious!
