RIP Leonard Of Course

My regulars won't be surprised that there's been early morning tears for the second time this week as the news of Leonard's Cohen's death has reached me.  I gain wisdom, solace and emotional liaison through the beautiful gift of music.  This dear man has been my companion for over a quarter century holding my hand through good and bad times.  Rest in peace sweetly Leonard with my other loved ones.

  1. I too am feeling very sad this morning. I heard the news at about 5am when I put the radio on as I couldn't sleep. My first thought was for you and wondered if you had heard the news too. RIP Dear Leonard you have given me many good times listening to your songs.

  4. I no longer blog, but a short time ago I dipped back into your blog to see how you are faring and saw that beloved Leonard had a new album out. I bought it and have listened to it continually since then.

    Such sad news this morning.
I am another who thought of you.

  6. I have been a lifelong fan and have every one of his albums. I read here of his latest album and ordered it straight away. It hasn't arrived yet and this morning I heard the sad news. I had read reviews of his album which said it had a feel of saying goodbye. I am rocked by this news and searched the blogs to find you again as I only stumbled across you recently. It will be bitter/sweet listening to his album now. I did listen to the title song when I ordered it. It is such sad news.

  7. Thank you all so much. I didn't realise quite how much other people linked Leonard to me. Along with the kind words here my friends phoned and facebooked their condolences too. This humble lovely man's teaching made a very big difference to my life even though I never met him personally.
