Mango Mosaics

At the end of this post I've uploaded the video that alerted me to the work of the very lovely Caroline Jariwala  of Mango Mosaics but thought that I'd throw in a few still shots that I've found too.

These joyful  mosaics are made out of broken pieces of crockery.  I'm tempted to have a go myself but I have to admit to feeling slightly overwhelmed.  Just how would you get started?

I see Caroline runs workshops in Birmingham. I'm thinking that I could get a group of my crafty girlies together and make a weekend of it. Here's that video that got me thinking in the first place.

  1. I wonder too...I've seen beautiful mosaics made from plastic bottle tops. They're glorious!

  2. Watched this the other day and thought it was so joyful. I’ve done a taster session on mosaics and really enjoyed it. I also liked the upcycling element of her work too. Catriona

    1. I've done mosaic courses too though with conventional tiles. I fancy learning a technique where upcycling is at the forefront. xx

  4. Oh, I like her and her accent! I doubt I would be able to hold those pliers though, my thumbs no longer work properly.
