A TImely Message

It has been a humdinger of a week at work in the aftermath of the Beast from the East.  My feet haven't touched the ground.  Just as I got the handle on one crisis  another brewed up.  I am truly glad it's nearly the weekend, a quiet one thank goodness with nothing in the diary.

In the midst of running around I had a spell working out of our Ivybridge office yesterday.  A kind colleague there sustained me with chocolate....and a fortune cookie!  I asked for a message.  Unusually the French version is much more succinct than the English.  Our friends across the Channel are normally wordy buggers.  Although there has been more method in madness than any onlooker might have perceived I have to say that this seemed just right for the moment.

  1. That would be a fortunae to keep prominently on your computer-nice reminder that the calm shall resume, but potential great things are about to happen.

  3. I was struck by how succinct the French was when I realised that it can be said the same way in English as in Chaos precedes Genius. Silly me. xx

    1. Yes! I didn't realise that overtly until you said so. But then I realise I'd translated it in the short form in my head. xx
