Hi-ho, hi-ho it's off to work I go. And I'm on duty too so I'll be fielding those emergency calls. Anything can happen and sometimes does. Lordy, I could tell some stories if it wasn't for that confidentiality stuff that I have to adhere to. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it's a quiet one today.
For at the end of the afternoon, instead of heading home, I'll be picking up Klaus the Knaus, my beloved home on wheels and heading off with Lou to catch the overnight ferry to Roscoff. Our destination? The same campsite on the pink granite coastline that we've stayed for the last seven years at Whitsun. We'll even have the same gorgeously rocky pitch where we ended up by accident last time. If it ain't broke don't fix it is definitely the mantra.
' Ha! Where's all that spirit of adventure now? the more intrepid travellers among you might scorn. There's none on this holiday. It's all about the relaxing nature of the predictable. We'll eat at the same restaurants and visit the same places. No doubt I'll walk, cycle and swim mostly on my own because Louis is off with his friends. Apparently my longstanding reputation for being the most embarrassing mother on the planet is enhanced during teenage years so I'm banished. It's a good job that I fare well as a loner. There's a big pile of books which I'm guaranteed to get through as I am a fast reader. After all doing not much at all leaves a lot of time for being a bookworm! I'm also taking a mystery crafting project!
This year is special. 2019 is no go as GCSEs loom. I'll be making the most of this very special quiet time even more than I usually do.
...oh and PS: If you go back to yesterday's post I've actually put the music video in now. Duh! This blogging lark is just like live TV sometimes! xx
