I brought home some snorkelling gear that was in the motorhome. It's nothing fancy, just a basic mask, snorkel and flippers from Decathlon. Yesterday I decided to wear it during my evening swim. On the way down to the cove a woman spotted the flippers and got chatting. She said that seahorses live in the eel grass locally. That's the stuff that tangles itself around me annoyingly as I'm on the way in and out to and from deeper water. It was exciting news to me that seahorses are native to the British Isles let alone my very own bay!
So it's my new challenge to spot some. None yesterday but I did see a big fish in the depths. Yikes! And the snorkel and mask came in very handy when one of my rings slipped off in the shallows.
